My Approach
My work is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a third-wave cognitive approach.
If I were to give ACT a one-liner, it would be: Learning how to make room for difficult emotions while simultaneously taking steps toward the life you want to live.

Individual Therapy.
Individual Therapy.
Unlike CBT, which often focuses on changing your thoughts, ACT focuses more on changing your relationship with your thoughts. We will spend time exploring what really matters to you, what gets in the way, and how to make choices that feel aligned with the person you want to be. You will hear me say “values” a lot in our sessions. I take a very person-centered and trauma-informed approach and believe that the client is the expert on their own experience.
I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) in conjunction with ACT to help treat OCD. Together will identify patterns, face uncertainty, and learn how to respond in a values-aligned way without relying on compulsions.
Gender Affirming Care.
Gender Affirming Care.
I have specific education and training as a mental health provider working with transgender and gender diverse clients. I am able to assess for surgical readiness and provide letters of support for those seeking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and various gender affirming surgeries.
